Simmy's Tales: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Part 2

The family is growing! Last week we told you that Simmy was going to meet some new friends and here we are... Jack and Ianto are going to join the Master in this unexpected holiday in the Seventies, but the great problem is still unfixed: Gene's collection was ruined by Baby Yana and if they don't want to be killed they have to sort out a solution!!!!

Of course the Back to The Future quote is intentional XD

Simmy's Tales: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Part 1

It's time to do something new! We had a lot of requests to introduce some old characters like classic Doctors and/or classic enemies, but it's actually very hard to do this with "our" timeline! Hey, but we have a character who was sent back in the Seventies for a few strips! Yes, we are talking about Simmy and his time leap occurred in this strip. Oh well, we know that our Eccly, Tenny and Smithy came back to "rescue" him on last year Christmas Special, but what happened in the meantime? We don't know exactly in which year the Doctors came back for him, so we don't know how many adventure he lived with baby Yana and his new friends (yes, he is going to meet some new "unexpected" friends) but I'm sure we are going to find out!

With great proud let me to introduce you the "Simmy's Tales": Our new series of strips which starts with a three part story, we really hope you will enjoy it!

December 2011 - Season Finale

This is the last chapter of our first year of Comic Who, call it the season finale! We chose to dedicate all the strips of this month to one of the most favorite character in 2011, we are talking about Simmy! We published three different stories connected each other which ended with the Christmas Special.

The first one was an old script which gives Elisa inspiration for this image. We sent Simmy back in the past without a TARDIS and without a DeLorean, so he is going to be stuck in the 70s and it's all Yana's fault.

This is a clear reference to Life on Mars... Did I already said we love that series? Well, it's not a secret, John Simm is a great actor and Gene Hunt is a great character!!!!!

Anyway we are now in the 70s, one year after the accident and Simmy is still stuck in the past. But every ages has its own Doctor and in the 1974 a new Doctor came in town with a baby version of himself (sounds familiar?). Welcome back Bakey (the 4th Doctor) with his young child Bakey Jr (the 6th Doctor).

We loved to introduce old Doctors, so we are planning to use them even in the next season...how cute are Bakey Jr and Baby Yana in the last panel?

Anyway, Christmas is coming and Simmy has no friends in the 70s, but as I said it's Christmas time and miracles happen and sometimes even foes become friends. This is our great finale for a great year of strips!

The year is gone, a long and wonderful year, but a lot of new stuffs are coming in this 2012 but before to leave you, I want to show you the images sent by our followers and selected by us as the winners of the Christmas contest. If you want to see them all just hit this link!

August 2011

This summer we moved to a new home, so the strips were discontinued and we published only two of them, plus a special cross over, but first things first.

Simmy want his Limeykins back. He knows he's living with the Doctors and he has a special weapon to achive his revenge

Look at Simmy's backpack, isn't it lovely? Anyway, this come from an old saying (stated in the last panel) but it works, the Doctors doesn't like apples very much (you're warned iPhone users ^_^).

We realized a strip to celebrate summer in Comic Who style, we took inspiration from one of the episodes of season 6 and we put togeher Limeykins with the Adiposes

As I told, we didn't have much time to realize a full set of strips this month, but we wanted to publish a sort of gift for our followers making a cross over with one of the greatest BBC series (besides Doctor Who, obviously)

We are talking about Life on Mars, where John Simm (Simmy) plays Sam Tyler, a police inspector sent back in time after an accident. The image is named Gene Hunt because, even if the story is based on the character of Sam Tyler, Gene Genie is unquestionably the true star!

We live in a timey wimey world, when I first wrote the script for the today strip, Elisa felt in love with the idea of mixing Doctor Who and Life on Mars because of Simmy... when I came back from work she showed me the sketch for this pinup. But while we have a long running schedule for the strips, we just publish pinup whenever they come out from Elisa's mind, so the today story is the "first part" of that story. This is also the first of a four part story which will end with the Christmas Special, so get ready, because we're going to release a lot of strip from today to the Christmas Day!

Life on Mars versus Doctor Who

It's a wibbly wobbly period for us... Moving to a new home, lot of work, no internet connection for nearly a month and the hottest summer I can remember... I really hope to go back to normality as soon as possible, but now you have to be patient and the Comic Who strips will not be released every monday as before until the end of moving (we're also planning some holidays :D). Anyway, we want to thanks all of you for your great support and love. We reached over 1000 fans on our Facebook page... whooo hooo!!!

Today we are not posting a new strip but a tribute to another british series we love so much: Life on Mars! We really hope you like this because it's our way to thank you for your appreciation in this months. Enjoy!
